Le Journey

Assalamualaikum 💖

I was on the phone with Jasmin last Thursday night and suddenly felt the urge to check my phone. I saw notifications from two WhatsApp groups; my class and my group of degree friends. My heart started beating fast as I wondered what was going on, so I clicked on the group with my friends first.

It turned out that there was a link to check the examination results a few hours earlier than it was supposed to come out. I was like 'BRO HOW COME but you know what we can wonder about that later!' as I opened the link and entered my ID and password. At this point, I could barely hear what Jasmin was talking about.

And...

"JAS JAS JAS JAS JAS JAS!"

"Haa haa apa dia?"

"RESULT AKU DAH KELUAR! I GOT ...!"

"OMG SEE I KNEW YOU COULD DO IT!"

Welp she said an abundant of things afterwards as she screamed excitedly. I could literally imagine how she was behaving on the other side; smiling with her 'I knew it!' hand movements haha damn I miss this girl. I don't know when I'll be able to see her next because she's too far away. Hoping it'll be soon (real soon).

Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah.

I feel very grateful for everything; for my results, my supportive family and friends, and my whole three years as a degree student.

Three years full of ups and downs.

After my call with Jasmin, I listened to some songs and when Roy Kim - Suddenly was playing, a pang of longing hit me. I missed my friends. A lot of my classmates uploaded our class photos, making me feel nostalgic. I can't believe my degree life is really ending; that the present will soon become memories.

Let's be happy
Even when we don't see each other anymore
Let's just smile
When we think about each other in our lives
Let life go on
Like we had the best dream
And if we meet again
Let's think about it at that time

Roy Kim- Suddenly

It feels like I'm really entering the adulthood now. May the best things be coming for us soon, and in the future.

Till the next post!

Assalamualaikum 💖

First:

Have you experienced a situation where random people just enter your dream and you can't stop thinking about him/her when you wake up? It just lingers in your mind for who knows how long. At times I'd dream that I have a crush on someone and when I wake up, I still do and the feeling would stay for days. Dreams can affect my emotions that way.

This morning, I don't know why (well I never did) I had a dream about this person. Let's call him A. I haven't been in contact with him for almost a decade now, and I don't think I will ever be. I ran into him awkwardly in the dream, but we had a small talk. All of a sudden the conversations led to this (sort of):

A: Why did you go to that event?
Me: Why? What's wrong with it?
A: I wouldn't have allowed it if you asked for my permission.
Me: *speechless* Look, isn't it up to me wherever it is I want to go?
A: You can't. You always need someone to go with you to social events.

I remember feeling dumbstruck at that unexpected statement. I was triggered when he talked about asking for his permission, because he was no one to me. But when he said the next sentence, I was angry but dumbfounded at how true the statement was. I was like, he couldn't have known me that well in less than a year. I was puzzled.

I know, I know, it's just a dream. Mainan tidur. But that statement alone made me think a lot. I always avoid social events, unless I really have to go, or I'm the one who wants to go. I know myself that well so why I was hurt by what he said, I have no idea. I kind of hate him for appearing in my dream, although I know it's nowhere near his fault.😟

Second:

Yesterday, I went to Big Bad Wolf for the first time in my life and I ended up buying eight novels for myself :') The price range of the books I bought was in between RM10 - RM15 each doh no wonder I saw people bring boxes of books home when they went to BBW. I feel guilty for my already-purchased books that I haven't yet read ugh I promise I'm going to read them this semester break okay!!

8 mine, 8 sis', 2 bro's
Third:

Remember the SolidWorks project that I talked about in the last post? Alhamdulillah, I'm done with it now!! Both the project and final exam! The project consumed so much of my time. I had to do it for our Mould and Die Design course. If I had done it earlier, I probably wouldn't be as stressed out though. The problem was that I didn't understand, yet didn't even bother to find out how in the world I was supposed to continue with the project until Week 13 came. With two of the seniors' help I was able to make progress, but not quite as I still didn't understand the purpose of the project, and why I was supposed to do stuff that way. The seniors were busy helping my other classmates so I couldn't possibly ask them to explain in detail.

Hence my friends and I decided to ask this friend of ours for help since he was almost done with everything. Sis I tell you, if we didn't come to that decision, we'd be crying right now. He helped us understand the project better, and even helped us assemble the components. I can't even express how grateful I feel for his help, so here's an appreciation post to you.

Sorry that I panicked a lot, and thanks for staying calm and helping me when I did. Thanks for being patient and explaining what you said (again and again) when I couldn't seem to understand. Thanks for letting us steal days that you could've been done with the project, just so you could help us with it. That's the thing that I'm most sorry about, yet very thankful for.

Would I have done the same if I was in your place? A day or two, maybe. But days? I would've had to reconsider that, especially if I wasn't even done with my work yet still. I would've wanted to get my work over and done with before I could help others. I'm insufficient like that. That's the reason I'm so very thankful for what you've done.😭

While doing this project, I found that I panicked a lot when things didn't go as planned. It reached a point when I realized that I was about to panic and I was like, "No, not again, please don't panic. Calm down, I beg you." I only panicked a little but I panicked more when I realized that I was panicking. Now I don't know how people with panic attacks handle them doh the attacks must be awful.😰

To end this post, I'm just going to say that I actually named my project 'Sleepless' because of the nights I spent trying to finish it (also in commemoration of the Sleepless In _______ album😂). Let me introduce you to my baby Sleepless now!

Full assembly. It looks simple but man the energy and time it took me :')

A huge thanks to you and my friends who have been helping me from the beginning until the end. We made it, guys. We made it. All the tears will be worth it, insyaallah. I'm praying that all of us pass this course with flying colours, and none will have to repeat this course :') We have three more exams to go now, hwaiting everyone!!

Till the next post!💘

Assalamualaikum 💖

Hello, a quick update here. It's now 7:51 am and I've got a class at 10 but I suddenly have the urge to write something so here we go!

It's already November now. To be really honest, I didn't think I could survive here in UiTM. This is my first time being away from home all by myself, so my homesick level was no joke guys. Everything I did reminded me of home. The songs I listened to, the people I saw, just about everything. It's so bad that I thought of just dropping out and find some college near Seremban or something (strangely it only happens on Mondays, Monday blues is real guys). But everytime that happened I would tell myself, "Just give yourself a week, if you're still like this, just go ahead and quit."

But since I'm still here, of course I didn't quit. I became okay after a few days (my strategy worked). As I got busier with more tests, quizzes and assignments, and oh not to forget, college activities, it got easier for me. I mean, I still get homesick but not as bad as before. I still get excited at the sight of Seremban Prima, I still feel like hugging Seremban whenever I'm there, but no more crying done. I'm proud of myself haha😂.

Roommates, classmates, and classes are all okay here so far alhamdulillah. There's this one English class about public speaking that is mandatory for me to take. *sigh* In this class we have to give two speeches; informative and persuasive. Everyone who knows me would know that I would do anything to avoid giving speeches in public. Anything, you know. I'd rather study 24/7 than do public speaking. I just really hate to be the centre of attention, unless it's what I have to do (like being the MC during my prefect days).

So I just did the first speech last Monday, which was informative speech. I dreaded every minute, every second that I had to wait for my turn. I wanted it to be over real soon but at the same time I really hated the thought of doing it😣. I knew I was only going to do it in front of my class, but still, I just knew them for less than 2 months. Then I got up and spoke and... I think I did well? Well to me it was good because I didn't stutter and all that but I might've spoken too fast to finish speaking quickly. But well done, girl! *pats dear self* But I still have persuasive speech to go... which is a lot longer... sigh.

Oh, another thing! I have two beautiful babies now😍.

So, Iman Publications opened a booth at PTAR UiTM since who knows when, and I only found out on Tuesday through their tweet. Then I went there the next day with such an excitement I can't even describe! I was soooooo so so excited when I got to the booth and I nearly jumped because weh oh my God precious books were everywhere! Mato's books (my favs) were there as well as Teme!💓💓 I haven't bought some books after such a long time so it was really thrilling for me😆. The last time I bought a book was Hiatus by Mato but it was through online payment and the feeling was different hehe. Aw I really miss the book smell! Now I've got to find some perfect time to read them.

Till the next post!💘

Assalamualaikum💖

Soooo here comes my midterm break! Guess who's ecstatic?!

ME!!!! OVER HERE, PLEASE, LOOK AT ME, IT'S ME!!!!!😆💓

Haha okay what a way to start a post, right? But anyway, I arrived at Seremban last Friday and I was super duper excited since I finally got a week break from Shah Alam weeheee! If Seremban is a person I'd hug Seremban for sure!😂

You know it's funny when I used to say 'Seremban takda apa yang best' and blabla (well it's kinda true but no, not really) but when I'm far away from home, I'm like, 'I miss Seremban's sunshine, I miss the sight of Seremban Prima, I miss Seremban's weather'. Aw I don't know man I just miss Seremban where my home is so deeply and now that I'm here, I feel like I'm never gonna leave this place! But of course it's impossible... *sigh*

I'm talking as if I haven't been in Seremban for such a long time haha but in fact, I've been coming home every week since I enrolled EXCEPT for this one week when I had 'Hello Senior, Welcome Junior' program on the 1st of October. It was like my faculty's orientation program and basically we had to go to the checkpoints all around UiTM (do you have any idea how big Shah Alam campus is?!). My legs almost gave out and I almost lost my sanity due to the exhaustion (a big hyperbole there). But still, it was fun and my teammates were cool so here's the picture!

Oh, and I've got an interesting story to tell you, which is related to the title; 'A Bittersweet Day'. So my schedule last week was super packed from Monday to Wednesday. I finished all my assignments on Monday and Tuesday because I had kawad for Wednesday night. I kept on telling myself, 'Just a few days left. Only a few days then you'll be free.' as I was very much worn out physically and mentally those three days. Then Thursday came and I was happy since I only had Organic Chemistry lab that morning and after that I'd be freeee!

Lab finished at around 10:30 AM and I was virtually skipping all the way to my college. I felt excited, ecstatic, and everything that defines happiness, so I bought nasi ayam penyet and air lemon mint (?) something I don't remember. But it was sweet and sour so it was just nice. Then I dropped by the mini mart to buy Twiggies for my breakfast tomorrow morning and once again I got excited because I was going home tomorrow so yay!

So with my food and drink in both hands, I climbed up the stairs to my room on level 4 while singing Lenka's The Show. I was being like, 'Lalala I'm so excited I'm free the whole day~' and I arrived at my door. I put down my food and drink and inserted my key at the keyhole.

The usual 'click' sound didn't come. I couldn't open my door.

But I was still being positive and was like 'Meh I'm probably too excited that I can't put in the key right!'

I tried again. But no. I tried again and again and again BUT I STILL COULDN'T OPEN IT AND I STARTED TO PANIC! I even asked the girl next door to try and open it for me, but it still didn't work. At this point, my happiness level dropped from 100% to 10% at once (not 0% since it's still a funny situation). I asked my roommates about it but I guess they were still in class so me, being so pasrah, picked up my food and drink and went downstairs to make a report to the office regarding the situation *sigh*.

That is what happens when you're too happy okay. I did NOT see it coming at all. When the door was fixed, we had to duplicate the new keys so we went to Seksyen 7. While we're at that, why not grab something to eat, right?

There goes my bittersweet day.

Till the next post!💝

Assalamualaikum💖

It feels like forever since I last updated my blog haha but it's only been a couple of weeks actually.

So, I've been at UiTM for three weeks, and my classes started last week. I still have the confusion of 'where am I' every morning when I wake up because, well, I'm supposed to be at home but where. is. this. place. This is not my bed. This is not my room. Where is my bolster? WHERE IS MY PHONE POUCH? Ha! It's game over for me when I can't find my pouch because that's the first thing that I reached for when I got up every morning at home but now it's not here! The shock from it usually wakes me up instantly.😂

I usually wake up early if my class starts at 8 to avoid waiting for people to come out from the showers because obviously, I hate waiting😪. I used to eat nothing during recess just because I didn't want to queue up at the school canteen (so terrible, I know, but I've changed ok). Then I'd have my quick breakfast depending on my mood and how long my classes will be. The breakfast part was tricky at first since it had been too long since I last had my breakfast at 6 in the morning ok?? But of course, I adapted later on since I can't not have breakfast.😂

Classes are okay (so-so). I'm not much of an enthusiast at studying so yeah, that's it. Even more so, the journey to class is so, so tiring that it's become my major problem here. Ok I might be exaggerating but really, all I can think of are stairs, stairs, and more stairs... Phew. Therefore I try to think positively by telling myself that I can build up my stamina this way. My schedule from Monday to Wednesday is too packed for me (I don't understand why they say our schedule is not so packed??) because my last classes end in the evening *wipes tears*.

Here, you can define myself as homesick because I FEEL HOMESICK ALL THE TIME. I keep wishing that I'm home wherever I am and whatever I'm doing at the time. For example,

'My favourite show is showing right now so I need to go home!'
'I need to wash my clothes using the washing machine at home!'

Just stuff like that. My homesickness got so bad one time that I even considered quitting all this but alhamdulillah it got better. Well, it did get better but it's not gone alright. I still feel homesick every now and then. I even installed this app for counting down to my mid-semester breaks and all sorts of breaks I'm going to have in the future.😂 But seriously, it hasn't even been a month yet since I enrolled?? WHAT A SURPRISE. HOW COME IT FELT SO LONG FOR ME!😭

Okay, on a more serious note, I do miss blogging so much! I just want to hug my precious blog and express how much I love and miss it and oh how important it is in my life aw my sweet little baby😻. I wish I can blog everyday to record everything that's going on in my life right now but nah I don't think it's possible BUT I will update it from time to time so I won't go on hiatus for months like last time insyaallah.

Till my next post!💕

Assalamualaikum💖

So I'm home and today I'm going to write about my experience during MDS week at UiTM Shah Alam! Also a guide for those yang akan cari info pasal MDS ni next year haha. But there aren't any pictures though. Aku pun taktau kenapa aku tak ambil gambar even though dah plan nak blog pasal ni (maybe penat sangat Idk).

Ahad, 03.09.2017
D-Day. Gerak dari Seremban around 9.00 AM and bila nak sampai UiTM Shah Alam memang jammed gila. But luckily, polis bantuan tu kata student perempuan boleh terus pergi ke Kolej Mawar (which means tak payah stop dekat padang kawad and naik bas pergi kolej). Such a huge relief sebab kalau pergi padang kawad confirm lagi lama.

Pendaftaran kolej
Masuk je kolej kena pergi daftar dekat dewan. Tapi tak ramai sebab proses dia simple. Just bagi surat tawaran then dia bagi kunci bilik terus. Dapat bilik berempat. Then bila nak naik bilik tu, turns out blok aku takda lif masyaallah nasib baik aku bawak barang untuk MDS je. Kalau tak confirm berapa kali ulang alik. So kalau rumah dekat/ korang balik lepas MDS, bawak jelah barang sikit dulu. Lepas MDS bawak lagi barang ok.

Bilik
Aku dapat bilik berempat. Aku ingat sempit mula-mula tapi luas jugak sebenarnya so takyah risaulah pasal sempit ke apa. Aku takda gambar nak tunjuk so sila google haha. Almari tak besar mana tapi tinggi so boleh letak banyak barang. Katil dengan tilam ada tapi bantal bawak sendiri. Perabot semua besi.

Farewell
Lepas dah letak barang dalam bilik, aku dengan family aku pergi makan dekat macam ada kedai banyak banyak depan kolej. Tapi nenek aku dah sediakan bekal so tak payah beli dah. Kedai kat situ tak banyak pun bukak masa tu so better bawak la bekalan makanan. Around 1:30 PM my family left and there were a lot of crying and tears and I couldn't stop crying since it was my first time staying away from my family😭😭. Sampai bilik la aku nangis (lucky my roommates weren't there). Mula la aku fikir nak suruh family aku ambik aku balik sebab tak jadi nak sambung belajar, biar aku kerja ke cari kolej kat Seremban ke hahaha.😂

Taklimat MDS
2:30 PM dah turun dewan yang tempat daftar tu, bawak telekung and dokumen semua lah. Masa ni dia introduce PM (Pemimpin Mahasiswa) semua, introduce lagu UiTM di Hatiku dengan Wawasan Setia Warga UiTM, practice cheers kolej semua lah. It was fun sebab PM kelakar and sporting. Also, masa ni dia collect borang kolej ok so please lah print awal-awal.

Solat
Solat sepanjang MDS ni berjemaah. Bagi aku dia best sebab tenang je nak solat, takda rushing bila tengok orang lain dah sudah solat. Part rushing dia masa nak ambil wudhu je.

Makanan
Untuk MDS ni dari start sampai habis MDS dia provide makanan from sarapan sampai dinner. Tapi masa tengah hari korang sampai tu memang dia tak provide. Dia provide makanan start dari dinner masa hari mendaftar sahaja.

Taklimat Pendaftaran Pelajar Baharu
Around 8:00 PM macam tu, kena pergi Dewan Agong Tuanku Canselor (DATC) naik bas. There were a hell lot of stairs and imagine lah 2000 orang camtu naik tangga yang sama... Fed up jugak mula-mula, dahlah tinggi gila nak naik wei. But bila masuk je dewan tu... Weh it' so cantik weh the designs and the walls were so cool too but since I was tired from climbing all those stairs I was like nah whatever lah.

Malam tu, dia guide pasal cara yang betul nak isi borang A, B, D dan sebagainya. Tapi better isi je borang tu awal-awal, takdalah kelam kabut. Kalau tersalah isi ke apa, nanti bagitau dekat PM sebab diorang ada sediakan borang jugak. Tapi come on lah, ikutlah instruction masa terima tawaran haritu. Kalau dia suruh print, korang pergilah print. Kalau dia suruh sahkan, korang pergilah sahkan. Baca je semua benda dekat website tu. But turns out slip gaji parents aku tak sahkan (sebab dalam list tak mintak sahkan pun??). This one I tell you lah, sahkan awal-awal sebelum pergi UiTM, sahkan je semua benda. Sebab kalau masa tu jugak korang nak sahkan dengan pegawai, memang beratur panjang lah jawabnya. Tak campur lagi orang yang berebut tak reti sabar. Pastu campur kena balik lambat lagi *sigh* .

Roommates
That night aku sampai bilik around 1:00 AM kot? Tak ingat sebab sebelum boleh naik bilik, dia kira semua orang dulu. Masa dah naik bilik tu baru jumpa semua roommates and alhamdulillah they're all okay and friendly. I decided not to judge people by their appearance anymore because I look sombong but I'm not actually sombong ok.

Isnin, 04.09.2017
For this day, dia bahagikan ikut fakulti sebab nak buat pendaftaran akademik dekat DATC. Bangun pukul 4:00 AM and kena turun pukul 5:00 AM and the cycle repeats for the next three days.

Pendaftaran Akademik
Fakulti Sains Gunaan antara yang first buat pendaftaran so lucky me. Lepas dah daftar, kena pergi tangkap gambar untuk kad matrik AND I LOOKED SO UGLY UGH. Then dapat kad matrik tu kejap je. Lepastu ada la PM ni jual tali kad tu tapi dia sebut something yang foreign gila bagi aku so aku tanyalah orang sebelah aku.

Me: Dia cakap dia jual apa?
Her: hjsdsajdha
Me: Lay-what?
Her: Layadjadaskdhk
Me: Ha?
Her: Yang tali tu. Layavdsajha.

HAHAHA lepastu aku google lah sebab aku still takleh catch apa yang dia cakap and oh rupanya dia panggil tali tu lanyard wei first time tau wei rasa noob gila masa tu😂. After that ada banyak sangat masa so PM share experience diorang and it was cool. I don't remember what we did afterwards but it was pretty much the same lah macam ada taklimat and all that but still balik lambat ok.

Selasa, 05.09.2017
Taklimat, taklimat, taklimat. Petang tu ada lawan bola sepak dekat Stadium UiTM Shah Alam antara siswa baru dengan mix PM and ketua something kot? Tak sure but result dia 0-0. Rasa macam tengok kartun main bola sebab kelakar hahaha😂. Malam tu ada pergi Masjid Tuanku Mizan untuk tasmik camtu lah. Dia test bacaan dalam solat semua tapi yang aku ni memang jenis nervous, habis semua benda aku lupa masa tu jugak... Tambah pulak malam tu dah kena selesema teruk gila so lagilah rasa nak balik tidur. Dah penat sangat aku tertidur dalam masjid tu masa pakai telekung for who knows how long. That's how tired I was.

Rabu, 06.09.2017
Today was filled with taklimat and nyanyi lagu je and trust me I kept dozing off without even realizing that I closed my eyes and when I realized I was closing my eyes I woke up at once due to shock hahahaha I don't even know how to describe this but it was literally like that😅. No matter how hard I tried to focus, I always ended up closing my eyes without even realizing it. Bukan sengaja tidur ok. Even gula-gula pun tak mampu tolong aku bukak mata. :')

Harini special sebab PM bagi naik bilik sampai pukul 9:00 PM wah terus aku pack barang nak bawak balik and gosok baju for the next day. Then turun bawah dekat dewan kolej untuk sesi bersama PM. Believe me, it was really fun ok! Firstly the break clap by Bro Ruz I still can't forget that and I'm still doing it haha. PM Hassan was damn funny la weh I couldn't stop laughing. And PM Eazy was so damn sweet playing the saxophone for his gf (kot la Idk) and everyone kept talking about how they wanted someone who could play musical instruments as a husband. It was a great night, really!💗

Khamis, 07.09.2017
Last day of MDS! More taklimat, taklimat and taklimat! Got perasmian MDS and I'll tell you something funny ok. So lepas perasmian tu kena nyanyi lagu UiTM Di Hatiku and aku as always selesema teruk la kan pasal sejuk gila. Then masa tengah nyanyi tu jugak hidung aku nak sakit and air mata mengalir YA ALLAH DAHLAH ORANG TENGAH TANGKAP GAMBAR. Rasa nak menangis betul-betul masa tu sebab takut nampak muka aku macam menangis. :')

Lepas dah siap taklimat around 4:50 PM ada macam penutupan and suddenly I felt sad because all the PM were so nice towards us. They danced to Kuasa Juara, Firework, Baby Shark and Gummy Bear for us and to me they were such sweet gestures.

After that naik bas pergi kolej and I packed my stuff and went back to Seremban!!!💖💖💖

So there are a few things that I'd like to stress on.

  • Buang tanggapan yang MDS ni banyak buat game budak-budak sebab sekali pun diorang takda buat benda-benda macam tu. Takda pun diorang paksa main game budak-budak macam nyanyi ke tepuk tangan ke apa semua. Instead they did things for us which is so nice to me.
  • PM semua okay. Ada masalah, jumpa diorang. They're humans too, takdalah kejam. Tapi dengarlah cakap diorang. Kalau kata turun bawah pukul 5:00 AM, tepatilah masa. Ini bukan PM je annoyed kalau kau datang lambat, tapi orang yang datang awal pun annoyed because it's unfair. Kalau korang tak cari masalah dengan diorang, diorang okay je. Tbh I loved almost all the PM. Ramai yang cakap garang sangat la apa la, tapi bagi aku kalau korang tak buat hal takdalah diorang garang. Kalau orang buat hal dengan kau, kau tak marah ke?
  • Also kalau boleh jangan la tidur masa taklimat... Okay there's this one PM yang orang panggil Bro Jambang (boleh tengok through hashtag #MDSLit dekat Twitter). Aku paling seram dengan dialah. Kira kalau aku nampak dia masa aku tengah jalan, aku terus jalan laju gila, and kalau aku macam nak terlelap then nampak dia, terus segar mata aku. Why? Sebab kalau dia marah/jerit, wei I think I'll be scarred for life. But of course la kalau kau tak buat hal takdalah nak marah. Tu je. So don't mess with SDK ok.
  • Before pergi UiTM tu pastikan dah baca semua panduan yang dia bagi masa terima tawaran tu. Jangan ada yang tertinggal. Sediakan list awal-awal. Check setiap masa.

Soooo I think that's all for MDS. It's all based on my views and experience. Pray for my success in university insyaallah!💖

Conclusion for MDS: It was damn lit alright!💥 Don't mind about what people say about MDS, perhaps it's different now but Idk guys.

Till the next post!😉

AW I'M SO GOING TO MISS MY BLOG!💔

P.S. If I have time I'll update this post with more pictures.
