Assalamualaikum.
I miss writing. Literally and virtually. I used to have so many ideas popping up in my head about what to write next. I used to express my feelings through writing. I used to make up simple poems when I feel like doing it. Now my writing skills have gone rusty. It's frustrating when I can't even express my thoughts through writing the way I used to do it. Really. It's like WHAT SHOULD I WRITE.
Writing used to be a part of me, part of my own life. Aaaanndd I love books so much! I still remember how I asked my mom for books as my birthday present when I was about 10. That is the reason why I couldn't fathom those who hate reading. Like, why would you hate reading when it's just so much fun? I love how I get absorbed into another world when I read. A whole new world and adventure. Where else can you get that?
When I was in primary school, I was one of the librarians, and I think I have read like half of the books in the library. I remember going to the library instead of the canteen almost every day during recess. It's like an escape to another dimension to meet all the characters and be part of the world myself. That's how big my passion was for reading. Wait, was? Yes, was. Because I admit that passion has reduced as I was growing up. I'm not THAT into books anymore, but it doesn't mean that I don't like to read now. I do love reading, all is well.
I don't have the specific favourite genre for books as well as I don't for my favourite music genre. I like what I like, I don't like what I don't like. It's as simple as that. Well, of course, my favourite books are the Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowling did an amazing work there. But I also have my other favourite books as well. So many of them.
I fall in love with characters too! It's funny how I get so excited about someone but that someone doesn't even exist in real life haha. For example, in If You Could See Me Now, I fell so hard for Ivan's character that I hated to finish the book. The funny thing is that Ivan was not even a real person, more like an imaginary friend in the book. And also to be honest, I only fell for the movie Draco Malfoy, not the book Draco 💖💖
Well, it's raining again. Coincidentally, I just finished reading Beautiful Creatures, and it reminds me of Lena.
