SUKIPT 2018
Assalamualaikum💖
I'm back!
Back home, back to blogging, and back to sleeping like a log!
Haha so I just got back from UKM last Saturday after staying there for about 10 days. I was there as a volunteer for SUKIPT 2018.
Honestly, it still feels weird to think that I actually joined this sort of program. Me, the girl who is always homesick and would hate to spend my time away from home. That 'me', just spent 10 days of her semester break volunteering at an unfamiliar place when she could've stayed at home doing everything she wanted to.
But I did. I really did.
I broke my shell, got out of my comfort zone, and met new people. It's a good feeling, to be honest. All thanks to my friend, Aina for asking me to join her.
At first, the only reason that I wanted to go was to get a certificate for it. There's even allowance given so why not? But as the D-Day got nearer, I felt reluctant to go because my semester break started on the 26th of January, and I already had to leave on the 31st. It wouldn't even be a week since my break started if I went on with the plan! Nevertheless I still managed to force and drag myself to go to UKM in the end.😤
Tell you what, I don't regret going at all.
I really learned a lot from joining SUKIPT 2018. I was there as Jawatankuasa Hadiah dan Cenderamata. Basically, we were the ones who had to handle all the medals and gifts, from arranging them according to the events, to passing them on to athletes and VIPs. I could really see here how important teamwork is. Just a bunch of people working together to make sure that the events and prize-giving ceremonies run smoothly.
I also managed to witness all kinds of sports (and athletes too😂), and how they're being judged. The volunteers from my jawatankuasa were divided into 12 groups, together with two or three supervisors to help us through. For my team, we got to go to the venues of taekwondo, swimming, bowling, karate, fencing, athletics and squash. One sport per day starting from Sunday. The furthest that we went was to Nilai University for fencing.
Well, here are some of the pictures!

At this time, I was the happiest human being on Earth because we got pizzas for free! After we got back from the stadium, extra pizzas were distributed to each room and so Aina and I got three boxes of pizzas.

| The mini mascot! It's just so cute everyone was waiting for extras but unfortunately there wasn't any :') |

That's actually a really big bowl of mee tarik right there and me, being me, couldn't finish it. I tried so hard, so bad, but it's just impossible for me. There were also some dumplings, lamb satay and one dish that I can't remember its name. But they were all scrumptious and delicious!😋
Here goes the last photo of my teammates!

I had fun and laughed a lot while working with these people. Even on the final day, there was a lot of laughter since we were all cramping ourselves in a Viva car (except for Haziq of course, he got the front seat all by himself😂) on our way back to Dectar. Overall I think this has been a great experience for me and I certainly don't regret it one bit. I only intended to get a certificate at first, but created memories and experience along the way.😁👍
P.S. Hoping to make the most out of 2018!
Till the next post then!💕
